Mullinavat 1-14 Glenmore 0-7

Mullinavat made a good start to the iIntermediate league when they had a comprehensive win over Glenmore at a bitterly cold and wet Mooncoin on Sunday night. Playing with a strong breeze in the first half Mullinavat were guilty of wayward shooting but still had a seven point lead at half time, 0-9 to 0-2. Simon Aylward was very impressive shooting a total of 9 points , (0-8 frees), but it was the overall workrate of the team which was the most satisfying feature of the game. The team showed a good attitude throughout the game and were comfortable winners in the end. Round 2 will see a different challenge from  Clara but Mullinavat have two points in the bag and a good performance to go with it. Well done lads and keep up the good work.
