Mullinavat the Comeback Kings

What an unbelievable game in Kilmanagh tonight. Mullinavat Intermediates were 12 points down at half time and were being beaten in all areas of the field. However in a remarkable second half display they managed to close the gap thanks to two goals apiece from Mark Mansfield (one penalty and one free) and  John Walsh to haul themselves back on level terms. Then in one final push for victory Michael Murphy scored the all important point from a free to win the game. This was probably the greatest comeback ever by a Mullinavat side and one which was all the more praiseworthy considering the fact that the team was without the services of four of our panel who are currently in the U.S.Well done to the team and the management on a famous victory. This victory will give the side a great boost as they look forward to the final round of the league against St. Lachtaain's in two weeks time.
