Rower/Inistioge 0-10 Mullinavat 0-8

The curtain came down on our hurling season today when our under 21 team were beaten by Rower Inistioge in the southern semi final. The disappointing aspect of this defeat was that the winners only scored two points from play in the entire game but the indiscipline shown by our players led to James Cassin scoring 0-8 from frees and this ultimately proved costly.  The first half was pretty even and at the break Rower Inistioge led by 0-5 to 0-4. James Cassin's five pointed frees putting his side a point to the good. Midway through the second half the teams were level at 0-7 apiece. However James Cassin put his side in front with a tremendous point from inside his own '65. Rower Inistioge added two more points in the next five minutes to put them three points ahead as the game entered the final five minutes. Sub Liam Fennelly pointed to give us some hope but Rower Inistioge held out for a deserving win.
